About Lekha
A. Lekha started her initial dance training at a very young age under Smt. Kausalya. She did her Rangapravesha at the age of 13 under Guru Karnataka Kalashree Smt. Sunanda Devi. Her passion to excel took her to Guru Narmadha and she completed her vidwat under the guidance of Guru Karnataka Kalashree and State Awardee, Revathi Narasimhan and continues her training under her.

During her school and college days students and teaching staff made 'Lekha' synonymous with the word 'Dance'. She won dance competitions year after year.

Her experience As a performer 

With over a decade of performing experience, Lekha has performed in several national festivals. Reviews in the papers and the press have brought her art more recognition.

Performances

Lekha has given innumerable performances in India. Some of her notables ones are at Yavanika, World Culture, Youth Festivals, Samskruthika Saurabha’s, Ankura. She has also performed in the presence of the his Holiness Shri Vishwesha Tirtha Swamiji of Pejawara Matta and his Holiness Shri Vishvothama Teertha Shri Swamiji of Sode Matta. She has also performed at the famous Dasara Utsava at Mysore. Along with her other dance mates she has performed at the Brahmotsava, ISKON, Bangalore and the Kinkini Festival. 

Painting and compeering are Lekha's other hobbies. She is a postgraduate holder in Computer Applications and has completed M.Phil in Computer Science and is working as a senior lecturer in the Department of MCA at P E S Institute of Technology and enjoys her married life with Krishna Prasad and daughter Isha who are ardent lover of Bharatanatyam. She has co-authored book titled “Rabindranath Tagore - A birds view”, with Dr. K.N Pushpalatha
